Does anyone have hardwood musical notes - Oak - Walnut or other darker wood? Need some now if you have. 5 - 6mm thick, Treble clef 140 x 60 - others 60 x 70 mm, different notes to stick on wood surface Please PM me with a number to contact.

Alex

I wouldn't know what a cleft looks like, not musically inclined. I do have lots of hardwood though but it's all 20mm thick.

Thanks Geoff, but too thick. The Treble Clef is the twirly sign that looks like an & with a tail.

Are wood floor tiles any good for scrollwork?

Sheila Landry has a pattern for a musical note candle tray, you could enlarge them ?

Thanks, but it's just that I have not really used the scrollsaw to cut out patterns and thought that if anyone already did musical notes and had a stock, it would save time. However, one poroblem is getting hold of suitably thin wood to use. The pattern of the not is not really a problem, but it needs to be thin to stick on a box I am making.

I really need to try the scrollsaw work and will do so if I can get the wood sheets. Is there a supplier for scrollsawers where thin wood sheets are available rather than cutting it.?

For ages I wanted to cut the first couple of bars from Smoke On The Water and stick them on the wall to see if any guitar playing pals recognised what it was. This thread has given me the incentive.

Alex, if you want a pdf that will print a treble clef at 138x58, PM me your email.
