I have not posted a while due to the birth of my first son. I have had a chance to get a couple of hours in the works tonight and have a problem. I have an old k series multico morticer which i stripped back to clean out dust. However I took off the motor housing as it is secured by 4 bolts (one which is missing). The problem is after bolting it back on the the morticer bit is not running in line with the mortice chisel causing an awfull racket (waking son in process). The question is how do i realign these pieces as clearly this requires some precision. I am a bit baffled

this probably isn't much help. When they built these machines up they had an alignment tool specially for the job. It's the same with the Sedgwick morticers.

I changed a motor on mine and had the same problem, solved it by trial & error. When I had it set perfectly I drilled two 6mm holes through the flange & housing and inserted 6mm roll pins.

I had a horrible feeling this was the case. That is going to be a fun evening
