hi asking for a rough value of a set of chisels my mums bought at the carboot. I imagine she bought them for me but I wouldn't want to do her out of a profit unless they were like ones I really wanted like mortice chisels or something . so the brand is French but I can't find any new ones currently for sale so don't know if they're still trading . thanks in advance

thankyou very helpfull especially your latest message . they're quite nice having had a look at them . the handles have had two or three extra processes done to them to fit in you hand in a really comfortable way . I don't need them though so I'll try and clean them up a bit sharpen the one that's actually been used and hope she gets her money back and a bit extra

Are they French made? The French seem to have a tradition in tool handles that results in that comfortable hand-fitting bulge, which I seem to recall is named "the dodu" . I have a Laguiole knife with such a handle. It means "chubby" I think. It does give a good feel.

yeah they're made in France they remind me little of the Lidl chisels and a little of the mfg ones but the handles are more comfortable than either. they're more of a carpentry chisel than a bench chisel having squared off bevels .I'd never heard of them before so it's good to find out about brands you didn't know about before .
