I've asked this question on the finishing forum but no joy with any help, so I'll try on this part of the forum. Could anyone download the data information on morrells waterborne primer(8005/641) for me as it seems you have to be a trade account holder to enable to download this information.

PM Sent

This is a fantastic product by the way. I use it loads and it gives a great finish on the edges of MDF!!

Richard / tsb, please forgive the intrusion, but what info passed hands by p.m.? Is it something we can all share in? Not heard of a trade account being required for MSDS / H&S sheets being issued. I'm a H&S assistant, and ask manufacturers for MSDS, ALL THE TIME! They often ask who I bought it from, but they have a legal requirement to supply it "upon request". It says so on most containers.

Let me know if you've any more info, and I'll see what i can dig up for you tsb.

Oh, sod it - here's a copy of the email I've sent...

Dear Sir, could you please email by return a copy of your MSDS regarding this item? I have a subcontractor using it on site, and need a copy for our file.

Yours sincerely,

(Turns out they are picky about who they inform....seems strange).

Thanks for all your help. Received the data sheets via PM and printed of successfully. Had already bought the primer from one of the morrells outlets and had asked for the data sheets but was told that you downloaded them of the net.

It is pretty standard for MSDS's to be made available via download. I've never come across any manufacturer (or distributor) who try to restrict who can access MSDS's. They have a legal requirement to provide them to anyone who requests them - including end users - though I don't think there is anything which says what format they have to provide them in. I'm not aware of anything which says that have to be provided foc but then I've never come across anyone who tries to charge.

tsb - just logged onto the net, got an email from morrells, pdf attachment for primer. If you've got it, no probs.
