As it's raining today. in sunny Devon, So as I'm rained off, I thought I'd try and get to grips with uploading pics from the Sony camera.
I see that my duo memory stick, from the Sony, will not fit my DEL,DIMENSION 3000.
I had a replacement monitor last week, that works well.
This is the computer I ended up with as my original had a lightening strike and got fried, and the second one caught fire, quite possibly because I couldn't get it apart to hoover out the dust inside.
Is anyone able to tell me what I need to get the duo memory stick working please.
TIA Regards Rodders

Hi,

you probably have a cable that can connect from the camera to a usb port on your computer ? If so, just connect them up, make sure the camera is switched on and your computer will probably see it as an extra drive. If this all goes to plan, it is a case of double clicking on the drive and navigating through the directory structure to find and open/copy the photos, it should be self explaining as you navigate. If you don't have a cable, then it is as the previous poster mentioned, you will need to get a some form of card reader that will take the memory stick cards and plug that into your usb port.

update how you get on and if you run into problems, I will see if I can help.

Cheers, John

Many printers have sockets for several sorts of memory stick, so even if there's not one on the PC you might have what you need. You can use those sockets without using the printer.

And only £3 more than the one I linked :D

Oops for got to add the postage £4.90 more

Indeed, but as I have one and use it extensively with my Sony due cards I felt could personally recommended it :)

Many thanks for the help, folks,
I really get stuck on this computer at times, and now my daughter has moved, I end up quite lost.

pete m, thanks for the link,
My camera wire has long gone, as in the past, I used the duo memory stick reader.

beech , thanks for that, pm sent, it will save me from
writing it all down, and still getting it wrong!

jmcp, thanks for that, I must see if I can find the camera cable.
may make life a little simpler.
