Mighton timber parting bead

Does anyone know what the width of this is, please? It's not on their website.

I think they are 8mm thick, the reddiseals ones are.

Not very helpfully its hidden in their brochure, says 25x8mm, page 36 of:

Are they better or cheaper than Reddiseals? I need to buy some too but haven't bought from either yet.

Thanks guys. I'm going for Mighton because in an oak window I think that a timber bead with brushes will look better than a plastic veined one.

Reddiseals do the timber beads too. I get all my stuff from Reddiseals. They give better service and more discount than Mighton. I wanted a load of gear and Mighton wouldn't budge on the price. No discount, just the same price as what's in the book

Hi Roger.

If you are making oak windows why not just make the parting bead in oak and use up some of the off cuts. If you use these http://www.reddiseals.com/acatalog/weat ... esive.html you can rout a small groove to take them in your oak parting beads and the window will look much better. Can do the same for the staff beads as well.

Would you make the parting bead a bit wider than 8mm as rotuing out 3.5mm from 8mm, say, might leave it weak?

This is how the ones you buy at 8mm wide are made so shouldnt be a problem.
