Any of you guys do metal turning/have a mate that does etc ?

I need some Stainless tube cut into 10mm lengths - tubing supplied - about 1metre's worth - and I'm paying money - though not a fortune !

Message me .....please !

Chris.

Can you give a bit more info, please? What gauge SS, how precise are the lengths etc?
I've got quite good metal facilities, but remember I'm beyond Aberdeen, so postage might be an issue

Chris... if you want a loan of a pipe-cutter with a wheel in it for Stainless ( be aware, a copper tube's cutter wheel is different and will be killed on Stainless in a matter of minutes )..
Let me know where you are and I'll send you a loan of it for as long as you need it.

You've not given your OD of your Stainless... this is a standard monument-type cutter which I use on ASTM A269 316ss Seamless, typically 12mm OD x 2.0mm WT and around those kind of dim's ....

It'll go up to 1" OD no problem, and down to 3/16" ...

If that helps you, give me a shout

Cheers.

You can buy a pipe cutter in B and Q for cutting stainless steel hand rails. I have one for a while and done quite a few cuts in stainless and it has been fine. I think it was a bout £12.
