I've had problems with angle lock on the saw head and wonder if anyone has had similar problems?
IMO the angle control device is dreadful - Chinese import money saving at its worst. Nip it up a few times and that's it. The cheap plastic (spring loaded) locking handle will neither tighten nor loosen - and I'm not heavy handed, I simply like things to lock and loosen when required. The plastic (plasticine is nearer to the material) locking key just loses shape and turns on the nut with no effect. In other words you can't lock the saw firmly or safely and neither can you loosen it. The simple fix is to take the cover off, take the handle off (throw it away) and use a ring spanner.
At the money it's a reasonable saw but for a few pence it could have been very good. As it is it's not high on safety and low in quality for that one reason.
Ha'porth of tar syndrome. I emailed Metabo but no response - have they relocated to China!!!
