Matching silvered wood

I am repairing a garden bench, and have had to put a new piece of oak into the arm of the bench. Is there a process to will make the new oak take on a an aged silvered look?

It's an alternating wet/rain and sun cycle which makes it go silvered.

There isn't really. Just let it age. Twelve months ago I replaced a broken slat in the top of an old oak garden table. It's now almost indistinguishable from the original slats. Slainte.
