Manual veneer guillotine blades

Thinking of purchasing 2nd hand veneer guillotine. Are blades ( I think 1150mm long), easy to sharpen, have sharpened or buy replacements for.
Are they easy to set up and maintain consistency of cuts. I don’t do that much veneering and usually hand cut smaller projects but I have loads of veneer I’d like to start using up and pushing.

If it's anything like mine send the knife off to a saw doctor for regrinding, it is a very solid lump of very hard steel and beyond hand sharpening , but it won't need doing very often if you look after it.

find out where local printers get the guillotene blades sharpened.....
prob about 20 pence per inch.....
