Recently had the problem of having a Spindle sander as well as a drum/Belt sander sat on the workbench and lifting one of them onto a hinged shelf when wanting to do sanding.

I had an old Hi-Fi cabinette that previously housed a turntable and Hi-Fi units and converted that, with a larger top, into a portable sanding station, with reinforced walls and a trolly base. I now have both in one place and simp;y wheel it to where I want to use either or both sanders. It doesn't take up much space and I can still fit both cars into the garage when it's all wheeled away.

That looks great! Daft question, but do you know the model number for your belt sander? It's identical to mine, though mine is a Clarke branded one, but I'm missing the stop board on top, the dust extractor and the table for the disc, it might be easier to find the Draper equivalent!

Cheers

Hi Paul.

the Draper disc belt sander is BDS 368 and the sanding disc and belts are 120 grit Aluminium Oxide - Disc 200mm stock 23350 Part SD8B and the belt is 100 x 915mm Stock 36074 Part No SB436C.

Easy enough to find on th web.

Ace, thanks! Hoepfully I'll be able to use that to increase my chances of adding some suitable bits to mine. great machine, but so much more sueful with all the extra bits!

That's not a workshop Alex - it's a food preparation area!!!

I'm definitely NOT posting any pictures of mine - Alex has seen it and he was polite enough not to comment :-"

Well, I do have a fridge at the near end, but that's for drinks only. Bottle of Bud when you're in the area Greg ? Anyway, you have plenty of space, but it's the logs that get in the way!
