Hi
My mother asked me to make a basic telephone seat out of pine but with a mahogany finish. I've made the seat/table and applied several coats of Rustin mahogany gloss. I have a nice finish. But there are several dust specs in the gloss finish. I have de-nibbed with some fine pads.
Once I have applied my last coat, if I give a light rub with a fine pad to remove some of the specs, could I then add a coat of clear wax to give the piece a sheen? It's an oil based varnish and fiddes clear wax
