You don't have to have a Hegner to do good work Fergie, many people do wonderful stuff on a cheap machine - even a treadle machine or hand frame, it's just that a quality machine (not just a Hegner - other makes are decent too) makes it a lot easier and less frustrating especially doing work with lot's of internal cuts such as Pieter has shown in this thread.Lovely work. Can't get near that level. Of course I blame cheapie Sheppach saw. Would love to have a Hegner, but then would have no excuse for my own ineptitude
I do like multi layer items like this - very effective.That's not too bad. I'm working on this now: 17 cm long and consists of 4 layers of 4 mm thick.
