Stupid as it sounds whilst surfing the web I have been playing the Orange free multipayer games.

This is the link.

http://oberon.orange.co.uk/multi.htm?Re ... pmenu_mygm

I now have a problem and I now cannot access the games. When I click on a selected game the pop-up appears as if I am a first time player, telling me I need to install Macromedia Flash 7.0. When click to install after a short period of time I get an error message.

Anyone able to help me resolve this issue? It has been going on for the past two days.

Gary

It may not be you. I just had a look at the URL you posted, I can't play any of the games either. A popup window opens, down the right hand side it tells you how to play the game and where the game should be (I presume) there's an error message "An error has occured Please close the window and try again."
Praps Orange have broken something.
Cheers Mike

Thanks for that Mike, as long as I'm not the only one. I was a little concerned as one or two things have not been as the should on my PC. This week I have become another victim on MBS Account Managers attempt to extort money from me and this has been a bar steward to remove. I'll see how things go over the next week.

Thanks for that, the problem is now sorted. It seems there was a problem with my computer. It has been infected by MBS and took some getting rid of. I had to install another program remover uninstall the Flash player and reinstall it. The whole thing has been a nightmare but hopefully all sorted now.

Gary.

Anyone else had a problem with MBS?

Amusingly I still get an error message from the orange games site. Never come across the MBS thing myself. I thought it was just an email I take it, it has implanted something on your machine ?

You could say that, how does a pop up to a site demanding £39-99 for a service you don't want and have not requested. If you don't pay or remove from your computer and removal is difficult your computer is frozen for 10 minutes at a time. A right pain in the ar$e. The Guardian newspaper have been following this company, who call themselves legitimate.

Well thats my rant over for today.

Gary

Ah yes, that would be unpleasant. That kind of trojan is usually used by the porn sites and others of low repute to basically strongarm payments from people for services as you say that they may never have requested (at least not knowingly). Theres nothing wrong with demanding payment for services, it's the with menaces bit and the tresspassing bit (taking control of your computer on a short term basis) that annoys me and I believe breaks the law. I presume you have managed to remove it all ?

Hopefully it's all gone. Fingers and everything crossed. It took some work and a number of downloads I would never have found without out the use of a computer forum. They were nearly as helpful as our fellow woodworkers.
