I just brought a sc25 Anne 198 see attached photo table saw and the belt set up was strange it was figured eight. It keeps sliding off any ideas. Was the belt on wrong

Is this a 3 ph machine, if so suspect someone has crossed the belt because it was wired incorrectly and turning in the wrong direction.
 
We may be creating/continuing confusion here with the thread title being carried over from the original as this is not a 210b :wink:
Perhaps the title could be edited as well to say Lurem SC25 ?
I have looked for the Lurem documents online I previously used but they have disappeared :cry:

A crossed belt's only purpose is to reverse the rotation, but it increases the wear on the belt radically. It is not advisable to do this. As said, find out how to reverse the rotation.
 
I suppose it should be established first if this saw blade rotates in the right direction when crossed or not?
