Hi all.
I'm a relative novice when it comes to woodworking machinery so I could really do with some help.
I have an old Luna Combi machine and I'm having problems jointing boards, everything is concaved. I checked for coplanar with the in and outfeed tables level and everything was fine so I assumed it was knife height. No matter what I tried, I ended up with concaved boards.
For some reason I checked the tables for coplanar with the infeed table set for a 1mm cut and couldn't believe what I saw. 0.9mm feeler gauge at the front but 1.7mm at the back.
The back of the table drops away more as the indeed table is lowered.
I don't have a manual and can't see how an adjustment could be made. My guess is the cams have worn over the years but no idea really?
Any help would be very much appreciated or if anyone can recommend anyone who services old machines. I'm based in Hollywood just south of Birmingham.
Many thanks
Richard
