Hi,

I'm newbie with any oil finishes. I mostly use several types of varnishes and waxes but I haven't tried any danish oil before.

I've read that most danish oils have strong odour (in wet and dry), which fades slowly. Because I have to do my finishing work (except sanding) indoors my house, I'd like to find low odour danish oil to prevent nasty comments from my wife and kids about strong odour...

So, can you guys recommend me any brand(s) which would be useful for me? It doesn't matter so much if the final look of surface would be glossy or "silky" shiny. Low odour should be "main feature".

Rustins now do an interior danish oil that is low odor and food safe. I have a can but havent got round to using it yet so cannot give you a report on how good it is.

Hmm... I wonder if by 'food safe' they mean "safe for food contact" or " resists damage by food". I've seen the phrase 'Food safe' used when it means the latter and whilst not technically incorrect I can't help thinking it is slightly misleading.
