Not long before we moved over here a very good friend, a retired woowork teacher, gave me a set of beautiful pinch chucks. All box and brass. The mounting thread is totally different to anything that I have ever seen so after long thoughts I had an adaptor made up for them. Now they screw onto my Record CL1 no problems. They are a joy to use, the few times that I have used them. Has anyone else seen anything like them before?

There is a larger and a smaller brass ring than shown and I intend to make up the chucks to fit them. Getting the box for the large one may be a chalenge though?

Nearly forgot! Age, about 100 years + old. Even older than me

I remember them from school in the 60's (ouch, was it really that long ago.) We only had these chucks and the teacher had to set them up for us to use. I think I am right in saying that it is only relatively recently that the luxury of chucks as we know them came into being. Nice gift. Plenty of scope with that lot and it'll save you a fortune in spare jaws.
