Some nice time in workshop this afternoon.

Simple little oak box, chestnut ebonising lacquer, silver gilt cream, W22 on outside and my favorite lemon oil finish on the Inside.

Picked up some robinia today....quartered logs and a few small logs.
It’s been in someone’s shed for 4 years......

steve, guess depends how big piece left over is. Anything from couple of pen blanks to laminate for mortar / pestle or really nice platter.

(btw - watch yourself with iroko - dust mask / extraction a must and I always have a shower when I come back into house after turning it. Can be nasty stuff!)
