Lie-Nielson 60 1/2

Hi,

I am asking SWIMBO for a Lie-Nielson 60 1/2 for Xmas, but where in the UK is it cheapest I had a quick look around and it seemed to be the same price every where, and with the dollar being worth naff all these days I am thinking of ordering one from the good old US of A, any thoughts esteemed chaps (and chapets).

My farther lives in california and we visited him this year but I didn't think about it then (slaps forehead) I could get him to purchase it and send it to me marked as a gift to hopefully throw customs off the scent, but is that the best way to go?

Don't know about getting it direct from the US - cost about £80 plus shipping.

Axminster have got an offer on at the mo - £101. Get SWMBO to order one early, whichever you do.

Yep, Tilgear special price at the moment £100.46 I believe.

They are having a special promo on American gear, have just ordered a couple of Incra rules, excellent prices compared to Rutlands, so now I can measure more accurately just have to learn how to cut straighter :lol:
