I am on the verge of buying a Legacy Revo but I'm a little worried about all the waste chipping it'll produce by the bin full.

Do any of you Mill Owners have thoughts on extractor setups or other fixes to control the waste, or is it just something I will have to put up with ?

Hi there Toplink

I've not got a Legacy yet .....

However one of the other users posted a while back and in one of his picture it shows the end of a dust extractor fitting that he used in an attempt to get the chips ....... the post is HERE

hope this helps but I do have a feeling that it will be a messy machine in use

Ian

Thanks for your link, I looked at that photo earlier and thought it of doing something along those lines only much bigger rather like a 4 foot funnel.
I have even wondered about a big sheet screen similar to those fitted on the larger Legacys.

Hi Simon , The Legacy is a messy machine and i still haven't got round to doing anything other than picking up the waste after using it .
The sawdust is a problem if it gets in the running tracks and i think Legacy try to stop it at the router aswell as having a bin below .
Andy seems to have it sussed , i don't mind having piles of saw dust myself :D
Welcome to the Legacy club :tool: (hammer) (hammer) (hammer) (hammer)
Jason .

Thanks Jason for your comments, I think I will just have to get one then worry about the mess afterwards.

I'd say he'd got is sussed. Nary a shaving in sight

If any is looking for a Legacy, but can't afford one, there's this going on the 'bay at the moment.

Scrit, any experience of these?
