I believe this is a radius wheel dressing tool for a surface grinder. However it would make a fantastic ball turning jig for a wood lathe. Centre height is 5 1/2". I think it is home made, but done very well with adjustable gib key, dovetail slides etc. Could equally be used on an engineering lathe for ball turning. Takes a 14mm diameter tool.
