Hi , anyone on here know anything about Poolwood PW 28-40 lathes ?

I have one and want to treat it to a service

New bearings and drive belt

Have taken the lid off and am not sure how to do it

Any links to a workshop manual would be good

Thanks

Allen

No links to a manual, but checking the "members lathes" sticky ,Chas has a 28/40,so will hopefully be able to point you in the right ditection.

Poolewood sold the original 28/40s to the market. It may be worth contacting them to see if they have any literature. Don't forget there 2 models, Chas has a electronic variable speed model, and there is also a moving cone variable speed model which is operated by a small hand wheel on the head casting. Same type of speed management as the as the Axminster lathes with the lever on the headstock.
