As I haven't posted anything of note in here for a while, a picci of the latest WIP...divan bed demolitionizing!

small-8.jpg

Anyone ever tried to take on of these things apart?..bloody nightmare  I had to cut through the fabric, tear off the flocking flocking  grind through the springs with an angle grinder and then saw up the frame with a handsaw.

I do like cutting things up though   but this was a bit big for the bandsaw - Rob

Not a job I'd like to do in the workshop. 'round here you could have left that on the drive and it've been gone within an hour.

I do like the look of what's on the 'bench :D

You know, you probably could've done it with one of those bigger bandsaws you've also been looking at...!

Doubt it would fit in the back of the car as is HC. I've demolished an old sofa and it was surprisingly hard to smash up, my favourite tools were the hatchet and crow bar :D

rob, why the demolition why not dispose of as is? seem the hard way of doing things, messy as well. hc
Difficult to get in the back of the Landy without ripping it apart into four bits...now down the dump...sorry, Recycling Centre - Rob

'shutes x 3 are coming along nicely. The picture framing attachments have now got to be shot in to a dead 45deg and then tidied up, long mitre attachments next - Rob

I have a Philly Skew Miter Plane awaiting it's arrival ;)

Rob,

That's the problem when you make your own furniture.

If you don't buy retail rubbish, there are no deliverymen to take the old stuff away and dispose of it for you! 8)

EDIT: Just thought. Next time, donate it to the Fire Station for their 'practice' domicile.
