Caught the movement brilliantly. Like the first one the best, reminds me of the old seaside postcards for some reason. Wooden spoon? :D

i like the first one best too. i find the non golfer bits of 2 and 3 a bit distracting. well cut though, and great idea as a trophy.

Well done Don,

I also tend to prefer the first one, definitely a post card feel to it. I could see these selling a treat at golf clubs (or perhaps they already do).

Excellent Don, I always amazes me how the thin sections don't snap off in scrollwork.....I have visions of spend hours cutting these fine stuff and then snap at the last minute 8-(
Brian

I agree Brian, that is always what puts me of tackling any thing large and intricate, cos of course that's not going to happen till near the end is it :x

Phill

I much prefer the first one, very reminiscent of the Donald McGill saucy postcards.

The other two have got rather large balls (snigger).

It's a friendly group of lads and I thought it nicer to have a bit of a joke about it.

'the non golfer bits' ? I thought the dimpled ball on the left side was quite nice.

@ Brian, it is a bit of a fiddle continually having to thread the blade through each hole to cut each shape out. Some of the holes are less than 1mm.
@ naznomad, I like the big golf ball shape. I think it holds the scene together. Or maybe it's too arty farty ?

I have one still to cut. It is a present for the host of last years event and is a one off. I will post it when finished.
I think I may make a move towards Intarsia, I am sure some advice from Brian will keep me right.

take care
Don W
