I had a rush of blood to my head...
We have a nice solid oak shaker-style oak kitchen that is now 20 years old... I've cared for it well, but it's looking a tad jaded. The current finish was most likely an oil of some sort - probably Danish or similar.
Stripping it manually would be a massive and boring pain, especially getting into all the corners of the architrave etc., so I got thinking...
...would laser stripping work in this case (I believe it would) and has anyone tried stripping an oak kitchen this way? If so, who to use and how much should I budget for?
Thoughts? I'd probably prefer to rent a machine, but open to any and all constructive ideas!
Refinishing ideas & techniques welcome too...
