Ah! I see it now it is just one blade but it jumps up and down at the end of it's stroke to create the hook. Very ingenious device indeed.

There are lots of specialist fixings for biscuit joiners. Austrian firm Knapp-verbinder make some interesting ones
the FAST are hammered into a standard 4mm #20 biscuit slot - has anyone tried these ?

It looks like Knapp supply Lamello with many of their connectors - good picture/videos at lamello or knapp-verbinder.com under furniture

I'm not sure what the Knapp Fast connector does that a Tenso doesn't (or vice versa), but I've asked a man who knows. The Lamello site is amazing: wish I'd had the sense to go there before trying to work out the Zeta without reading the instructions!!!!!

Here are some of the Zeta fittings, the white are for cnc and have no adjustment/slack within the fitting for placement error,
the grey are not as stong as the black and are cheaper.

Here is the p2 Zeta with a very shortened festool plug-it pigail so it will intergrate into the festool system dust extraction outlet is the same size as the festool and the zeta should be used with extraction

Have you used the Fast biscuits? You punch them into place Bob Adsett of Axminster tells me, and is sending me some to try.

Bob from Lamello came round yesterday. He showed me all sorts of clever fixings. Really impressive. The clip-together Fast biscuits aren't really strong enough for what I want to do. He was telling me about some of the companies using the Tenso and Clamex joints. They are changing how furniture can be made and then sent or fitted.

Certainly will (thanks for the invite for a plug). Have plans to make a project or two, and look at some of the things being made with the different types of fixing. They've even asked me to visit the factory in Austria! Not sure I'll have time, and not sure what benefit there is for readers.

What I meant was, what would anyone like me to find out if I go to the Lamello factory in Austria!! Is it worth it for the sake of woodworkers? I have very limited time and want to make sure I come back with useful info if I go.

The Tenso P-14 needs at least 25Kg of pressure to release it were as the Fast only needs 5Kg of pressure there for the Tenso has a greater holding pressure onto the two glued surfaces untill the glue sets
