Not so sure about that - looks more like an accident waiting to happen. I wouldn't want it in my workshop.

The seller admits that he doesn't know much about lathes and that's a metalworking lathe,not woodworking! While you could use it for wood, it's certainly far from ideal.
But depending on the amount of wear on the bed, the state of the chucks etc, change wheels included, someone could make good use of it.

I wondered when I saw all the gearing but assumed it was perhaps an old copy lathe or had loads of different attachments at one time. Shows my ignorance as well :roll:
