Kity bandsaw...what's the difference?

Does anyone know why some Kity 613's have a rack n pinion riser blade guide and others don't.
Is this the only difference and does it make any difference to performance?

I now have a Kity 613 (without the rack n pinion option) and very happy with it...but didn't realise the table only tilts to 22.5 degrees!!!
I have heard it is something to do with current Health & Safety issues!!

...any comments?

Just means it's very old. The first ones only tilted to 22.5 and had no rack an pinion spec. Table tilted to 45 from about 1989. Mines an old one too, 1982 and still going strong.
