Kirschen Skewed Chisels

When I ordering a few bits from Axminster I bought a couple of these for cleaning up tenon joints etc. http://www.axminster.co.uk/product-Kirs ... 480161.htm The only trouble is I have not used this type of chisel before and I am wondering what bevel I should put on them, or should I just treat them as an ordinary chisel?

Treat them as an ordinary chisel. The skew gives a cleaner, slicing cut so you may be able to get away with a lower angle than usual if you want to experiment.

I've just got mine at 30 degrees and they seem to work no problem on hardwood.

Yeah I bet you did "Aladdin's Cave" comes to mind. Even Norm :norm: would be envious of that workshop. I was told that at dinner partys Karl Holtey is often heard to drop Phillys name. :lol:
