Ikea have different levels of firmness even for the same mattress so don't discount Ikea.

Our home mattress is from ikea good mattresses tbh.

......The brand I like the most is quite common I think and called Simba.

Coincidentally I ordered one of these about 10 minutes before DBC posted.
Delivery was within a few days and the lads from ao who delivered it kindly humped it upstairs for me.
but 2 days in and it still stinks. The synthetics are offgassing like I dunno what.
Make sure you have somewhere else to sleep for (at this rate) most of a week before you'll be able to stay in the room with it !

Two weeks in, the Simba Hybrid Pro is a little better but still honks. It has a good upper layer and you can't feel the springs but that's superficial and it's definitely firmer than medium. Too hard for both of us. "Stinky the Mattress" is going back. Fingers crossed that John Ryan will do better.
