Something I have wanted to build for some time is a box to put our keys in. It is Euro quarter sawn oak except for the door frame for a bit of contrast. Knob turned from Waka rose wood scraps. Finish 2 coats of Danish followed by wax.

I like it, and assume you cut dt's by hand.

Yesterday I had to back out of a gift from the local church, an eleven foot oak pew. I was unable to make any impression on breaking open the joints to disassemble, if you Hampshire fellers had been around we could have obtained around 3 cu. foot of prime oak.

Devonwoody, shame some of us are not closer, that oak wood have been very useful, hope its not been burnt. Dt's by hand.
