Hello and welcome, Which model K5 did you get, was it the earlier splayed leg model or the square legged one?
Please let us know how you are getting on regarding you're K5 repair or re-assembly.
Regards Rodders

Hi Nigel

If it's painted green with red guards then almost certainly one of the very last K5s produced (some sneaked through with the old badging :) ), or the replacement Bestcombi. What dia is the spindle moulder shaft@ 20mm = 2nd generation K5, 30mm = Bestcombi.
The machine is pretty simple, just 4 seperate machines around a single motor plus the morticer if a 5 function.

I have the docs you want in pdf format, scanned from my own machine. Pm me with your email address if you want them (around 6 mb).

Just a thought. Are you sure it's the small K5 / Bestcombi you have and not the larger 704 type which had a green paint job. They are sometimes confused by people who don't know the product range.

Easy to tell as the capacities are larger.

cheers
Bob

Hi there, new to this forum, trying to get hold of the K5 Kity manual too, also found website for cutting blocks and blades etc. wealdentool

Hello and welcome, for a copy of the manual, read the 3 posts above you're first post and give either of them a PM
Lons is pretty well clued up on them and still uses one,
Or Alex r webb may be able to help, as in his post above. contact one or the other
Wealdon tools are good but there are others to compare APT and Rutlands and others.
I take it you're new kity is the white model with splayed legged table, and a 15mm spindle shaft, (K5),
The year of manufacture is stamped on various plates, On the earlier models, in between the motor and saw bench, A mirror and remove the drive belt helps!
HTH Regards Rodders

Thanks Rodders, i cant PM yet im not authorised forum rules, do you think you could for me and ask to repost the link, be much appreciated, really want to have a play, without breaking it, i think its the last of the K5 movin to the kity bestcombi i think, will check the plate when i get chance, thanks for the welcome, speak soon, wayne

Hi Nigel. Best not to put your address on a public forum, especially as the owner of WW machinery. Suggest you edit your post or ask a moderator to do so.

Powertools, If you would care to check the above posts regarding the green machine, you will find that nigelgiff posted that in May 2015,
THIS Reply was to Platinumdon yesterday, 21st September, who's first post was asking for a manual for the K5,
and no colour was given.

Yep Rodders and I think I've helped Nigel though I might be confusing him with someone else. Had quite a few emails over the last few months and I've discovered retirement gives you memory deficiencies. I don't even know what day it is.

Roders I am sorry that I seem to have made a mistake, I am a big fan of older Kity machines and would be happy to help anybody with one but I missed the date of the opening post. I will leave to you and others to give help to those seeking it in the future.

I have owned Kity machines since the early 1980's and use them to this day and am therefore qualified to help people with older Kity machinrs, can you tell us which Kity machines you own and have experience of.

You're Qualified to help people with older Kity machines you say,
So what City and guild, diploma's, nvq's or Kity and Guild do you hold then?
After seeing you're post of june '14 when you had difficulty working out planer pulley rotation,
I don't think you're any more qualified than I am!
Post only Witty, helpful or friendly questions to me please.
Regards Rodders

I guess that by your criteria I have a Kity and Guilds.

I assume that this is the thread that you are referring to :-

kity-planer-thicknesser-and-table-saw-t81037.html

The machines are clearly in the wrong orientation on the rat eaten table as can be seen on the pictures posted by another member and the problem could have been resolved if the op of that thread had responded to questions.
I am surprised that you point to that thread when your input was noticeable by it's absence.
