Seriously weird. Not seen ones like that before. A quick consult with Mr Google throws up a few modern versions on Amazon.
 
It looks like each one is made of a different wood species. My guess is that they were made localy by a craftsman for it's own use with whatever wood he had available.

the start price is a 1'000 euro's....hahaha......

there is an awful lot of old tools here....but no tools shops specializing.....
most of this stuff just gets passed down the generations...
the only tools I've seen that's worth having is the EX Pats that pass on...shame....
just around the corner, next village was a prop Brit furniture maker...
didn't know untill his widow sold his gear of...shame....
 
Are they for use by a single craftsman leaning over the bench to hold both handles (uncomfortable to say the least), or two working together to create long straight beams (one either side).

The length of the plane sole suggests it was intended for long lengths of timber which needed to be very straight - eg: boat masts, floorboards.
