Counter for BANK clothes shop

that picture is from the workers side, a corian outer unit slides over all the unit, anyone who has been in the shops will understand i hope.

These are just a few small stands for GALA bingo where customers swipe their membership cards

got some other pics of better jobs but pictures need resizing, please ask any questions on these and give me your opinions.
Have a look my works website to view finished projects if you like www.thehurstgroup.co.uk

Thanks Carl

Hi Carl, welcome to the site. The stands for the bingo hall look well.

BTW, could you please reduce the pixel size of the photographs? Bit of a chore having to scroll Eastwards to read the posts.

Questions? What's Corian. Another forum I live in for work related things mentions a night club that has a Corian dance floor. I've never come across the stuff.

Wow, Thanks very much. :) Can it be hand tooled? Im not sure Im convinced by the idea of a dancefloor in the stuff though.

Not sure about hand tooling as I have never used it, but I know some folks like to scrollsaw corian for the colour contrast - usually as intarsia or segmentation work.

A few years ago there was an article in the American magazine "Fine Woodworking" by Frank Klausz about how he built his kitchen. He used cherry and Corian for the worktops. I seem to remember that he described very well how he did the worktops using a router. There is a picture of him with his wife in their kitchen on his website at http://www.frankklausz.com/gallery.html

Can't remember which issue it was (short-term memory thing :? ) or whether back issues are available but if they are it would be well worth reading if you are interested in using Corian.

I believe there are router cutters available specifically for cutting Corian - I think Trend for one do them.

I like corian, and you can tool it.

Jason B did a small box with a corian lid that he vacuumed into a curve.

Hey, but jason will be along to tell us, it was his project not mine.

I have tooled some worktops in corian and found it great.
