Just like to say thanks to Jon and Les for making everybody so welcome and for the BBQ etc.
To show the guy's who were there what I am currently involved with, here are a few photo's.
It is a Backgammon board (the design nicked from youtube) but this one veneered with four-match Burr Walnut with Birds eye maple and teak for the triangles then some lines inlaid to set things off.
Cutting the veneers
Veneers glued down and adding some black lines around the triangles
Lines done
Board now framed and adding some decorative banding to separate the sides
Close up of one corner
Sides being glued down
It now leaves the counters and drawers to be made and fitted with dividers and a tray into which the dice will be thrown, the top will not yet be fitted, this is to allow access to fit the drawers exactly.
