Disagree. Anything can be joked about. Otherwise it leads to censorship and the ridiculous cancel culture if the fact that an individual finds something offensive prevents it being aired.

For centuries the Catholic church censored everything that didn't fit with the religious teaching.

Nowadays we call that chancel culture.

I'm afraid I can't really agree with you on that one. I understand what you're
saying in principle. But, there are also some subjects which deserve respect
and sensitivity.
Having said that, it's difficult to say where the line should be drawn.

Then you should have reported the post for its content and removal and not made an issue of it.
