Let's not get into the rows they've started on Woodnet over this!
I think he looks very happy in his retirement present workshop, and the best of luck to him.

God knows what's on that site but it gave my Mac a very nasty attack of constipation. Had to unplug at the mains to get back control.

EDIT: Turns out that it was the PicLens add-on going AWOL and messing up my Mac.

Thanks for mentioning that - I hate it when that happens. Don't think I'll go there

What's to row about? I don't know a single thing about the history of his presidency. But on the basis of that video, he looks like a nice friendly bloke doing some good woodworking, for a seemingly good cause.

That's what I would have said, but a lot of them over there seem to think he was a close relation of the devil, most evil man in history...

A lot of them are saying he's the worst president the US has ever had. I don't know much about him, but if he was worse than George W, he really must have been bad. At least Carter can form a sentance.

From that video he does come across well.

That's all woodworkers though isn't it?

That's probably the problem the yanks have with him; he was too nice to the point of appearing weak and ineffectual. Our colonial cousins prefer their presidents a little more gung-ho.

Unfortunately JC's only excursion into military action was the failed attempt to free the hostages in Iran. Americans will never forgive him for that embarrassment. To be fair to him, he never attenpted to duck the blame, even though it couldn't have directly been his fault.

The hostages were of course released soon afterwards, a day after the inauguration of Ronald Raygun as president. This made him a hero!

However, anyone who spends his retirement woodworking has got to be a good man in my view.

And given the total non-existance of my pension provision that's exactly what I'm going to be doing, too!

He was reckoned to be the most intelligent man to hold that office in the 20C.

Roy.
