I have started my lean to at last, I am making it in 6feet by 2feet sections with 1 & 1/2 by 3inch wood.
I have finished 3 sections so far.
I am using mortise and tenure joints with a router and a table saw.
Oh and a chisel.
I think I need a jig for the router, so all the joints are all the same, can anyone direct me to a site that shows how to make one please?
I am also having trouble with keeping the sections square but they are only about 1/4 of an inch out and I have left 1/4in all around for the glass.
Will keep you posted but it is slow work.

hi reg youll have to explain what you want a bit better as i cant understand

Me neither I'm afraid. I'm guessing here but I assume you're talking about wall sections? If so it seems rather over the top to me, if I'm picturing this correctly you're making a stud wall in individual 2' wide sections - may I ask why? This is normally a task for 4x2, a bag of nails, and a big hammer. I've probably got it all round my neck though - a picture is worth a thousand words

Welcome anyway Reg, I'm sure there'll be more help along soon and we'll get you sorted out.

I will try to explain a bit better.
I am making an outside Lean-to or a conservatory.
I am making it in sections 6x2, that is side sections that will screw together.
All in all it will be 10X12, haven't tackled the roof yet.
There will be 14 sections 2 doors and may have 2 or 3 windows but all sections and doors will be the same size, so interchangeable.
I have been looking on your forum and have found a jig that will slip over the wood for a router so will give that a go.
I must add I have never done any carpentry before.
Well not with joints.
I am off to bye some 2foot clamps and a large square.
Hope this explains a bit better but if you have any tips for the future it will be welcome.

I would rethink the doors 2 feet wide is too small.
