Nick, thanks for taking up my suggestion regarding a fence upgrade. That's very welcome!

You may be right, and other Ali fences may also have been suspect, although this particular extrusion does have a design flaw, which was highlighted in Mark's original posts. However, I still bought the Jet after reading them! Likewise, I didn't think the Rojek was worth the extra money, I like the simple thicknessing changeover, and would definitely buy my original machine again, original fence included. Excellent value for money, and a real bargain with a revised fence.

Hi Ivan, thanks for the comments - likewise thanks to all others too, Mark appreciated yours especially, in fairness if you hadn't have made that thread then we probably wouldn't have made the changes, so it's all worked out for the best I reckon - hope all is good with yourself too.

Best price for yourself (which is pretty much below our cost) I can work out inc. vat is £17.87

You can order via any Jet dealer with this info - unfortunately it's not a stock item, so delivery will be in 3-4 weeks if that's ok.

As promised earlier in this thread a new set of blades for the JPT310 arrived today, and I am extremely pleased to add my vote of extreme confidence in the customer service from Jet.

Gestures like this really cement a positive feeling for a particular company. Jet have always had a great name and now I think they are even greater. (mind you. I am easily bought :lol: )

Hi Mike - yes, no problems - can you pm me if that's ok? - I will make sure you get it at the reduced price, but I've just realised that just phoning direct to Axminster or dealers may cause problems because they will probably have it on their systems at the normal price around £55, and you saying that some bloke of the internet said you could have a discount probably won't wash. PM me - I promise I'm not a Nigerian 419 scammer :lol:

Their technical services very understanding and unphased. Volunteered to check how to place order with Jet, and call me back. He did, and it's eighteen pounds odd including the postage. A real result. Thankyou Jet, and thankyou Axminster.

I have read all the posts and just wonder where the Scheppach machines fall into all this?
The price is about the same, and spares and technical support seems ok.
Will you let me know if you considered this make, and what the forum consider it's standing against the rojek and jet.?

i am assuming its the 3200 model. i would be interested in opinions on this machine. the two models listed jet and rojek are both from the axminster stable so any alternatives would be interesting to say the least. the 2600 model is very well thought of to say the least. as with so many 10inch to 12 inch jumps the price leap is incredible for 2 inches.

I bought my 310 about 12 months ago, and it came with a machined fence, can you confirm that if the face of the fence is machined, that it is the thicker extrusion? Or are there some machines with the original extrusion that have been machined?

Isn't it just! I'd be surprised if Jet are selling many 310's now the 260 is available at not far from half the price.
Methinks that may have more than a little to do with the DX giveaway deal going on.

I love my 310 (I know - boring now) - but wild horses wouldn't have persuaded me to part with another 600 quid for those 2" had the 260 been available when I bought it.

Hi Paul, to the best of my knowledge all the machined faced fences were made from scratch, it wasn't possible to machine the original extrusion with the grooves in it.
