Hi All

I have a birthday present arriving on Tuesday, a Jet 3520B Lathe.

Could anyone who has one please tell me the external footprint of the legs from front to back, the approx. 2ft dimension.

I have to make a couple of pads for the floor and would like to get this made this weekend ready for Tuesday, so really need a measured set of legs. The specs all over the web quote various sizes, so I am not sure what is accurate.

Thanks

Phil

Give or take a couple of mm I make it 610mm(2ft) from rear of casting to front of casting and 1255mm lengthways hope this helps enjoy your birthday present

Thanks ever so for the measurements.

Seems a bit like a kid, but I go to sleep thinking about its imminent arrival, getting quite excited.

Missus says I don't get this excited over her any more!

Ah well, such is life, I'll have to try harder.

Best regards

Phil

Phil,
I'd save yourself the trouble of laying the pads. I'll PM you my address and you can get the lathe dropped off here. Don't worry about getting inside - I'll get some local help
HTH

Brother offered as well to save me the hassle, will let you have first dibs if I don't get to the shed tomorrow to sort it.

It will be good to return to the forum after 18 months out, Her indoors has been quite ill for over a year, but it seems we are on the right side now. Whilst it will never perhaps be the same, I can now leave her for a few hours a week and not feel guilty about being in my workshop. it's been an eye opening experience, hence spending the kids inheritance on what we want, not saving it all for the offspring to spend it all for us.

Also looking to get back into the challenges.

look forward to more banter on here.

regards to all.

Phil
