I bought some 2x3 CLS a few weeks ago. I remember thinking at the time that some of it didn't look great but was in a rush so just packed it up and left. I can't remember if it was all of them or just a few that I thought that about.

I was originally going to use these in a playhouse build I'm working on, but now I don't think I will. They might do for a garden tool shed thing I'm also building, but I would be grateful for any opinions on what this might be.

Yes it is but a light sanding outdoors wearing a mask will soon get rid of it,or you could wipe down with a bleach solution to kill it and then sand. cls is mostly imported in packs wrapped in plastic( some have a breathable membrane wrapping) any moisture is often trapped inside and as some of these packs can sit in the timber yard for long periods of time it is not unusual to find a little ( sometimes a lot) of mold forming on the timber.
