A quick google suggests 49:51, filling a 4GB file.

Yep, using the built-in app then iOS video recording tops out at ~50 mins of HD, or 4GB. As always though, there's an app for that e.g. MoviePro which suggest a host of improvements over the native app, including "unlimited recording duration" - never tried it, but worth a look if you need more than 50 mins, probably...
