I need to get some flowers delivered abroad and I wondered if anyone had any experience of international florists other than Interflora, whose choices seems a bit lame.

Cheers

Yes - my mum. I think I may just talk to florists local to her and do it that way unless you have a better suggestion.

Cheers

Exactly. When I've sent flowers internationally I have used the web to find a local florists and given them a ring. Works out cheaper too.

Tim - when SWMBO wanted to send flowers to her aunt in Seattle she did a Google search for florists and then added the road and district in Seattle to the search. That threw up a list of Seattle florists online and she then phoned them to discuss terms, costs and delivery. When in doubt she put her aunt's address into google maps and then located the florist to make sure they were local. With most there was a minimum order of $30 USD plus a $10 USD delivery charge - so about £22. For that her aunt received a really lovely arrangement so it was time and money well spent - and dead easy to do. And the result using a local florist was much cheaper than Interflora and SWMBO was able to choose what went into the arrangement with some helpful suggestions from the florist.

What an excellant plan :D I used Interflora last November for a lady in Australia and got a bit of a shock with the price but they did a good job.
