Our integrated dishwasher of 4+ years was in when we moved in.

If slowly dying failing to drain / pump out.

Does anyone know what the best replacement is?

Cheers James

Our integrated dishwasher ...

That's so PC!!

Agree with the comment above, I mean, after you've fixed the virtue signaler in it :)

Anyway, if the pump is getting weak, that's one thing. But it may be due to an issue with free flow. In the states, the dishwashers used to have a grinding knife before the pump, and anything at the screen got pulverized into mush to be diluted and pushed harmlessly through the line. Those motorized knives are gone now and there are baskets, but the baskets are fine sieve to make up for the lack of knife, and there's a line behind the dishwasher pump that could also be clogged.

Check those bits, remove any excess water and then let the thing run on an empty cycle or some light cycle without grunge and see if it catches up. There is always some water in it to keep the pump primed and probably to block stink, but when it rises, you see it.

We put the plates, bowls etc on the floor and they are cleaned in minutes. 🐩🐕 Then they're are ready to put in the cupboard.

Our Fisher Pakel drawer type wasn't pumping the upper drawer out so the repair man came and popped out the pump and replaced it in a few minutes. Some of the little silicone impeller blades, looks like a paddle wheel, had broken off. Next time I know what to do to fix it.

Standard door type machines have to be pulled out from under the counter to access the pump. A much bigger job with the associated labour costs if a service tech is doing it. Once you have it out you might as well replace it.

Sorry to have offended 250m muricans who have a bonkers first amendment...! (Not my words btw!)

I will check the gunge filter and pump there seems to be two types of pump a cheap white one at £30 and a more expensive one at £70 so if it's the cheap looking one I'll replace it too.

Cheers James
Ps I don't believe the 1st amendment is bonkers btw!!
