Hello all, for some time I have fancied making an infill smoother, from a kit. This may be a bad idea - opinions welcome. nevertheless, I found this man in Wales - but he does not respond to emails etc (there is no phone number) - anyone know this maker, or otherwise recommend a kit, or otherwise tell me it's a silly idea. I am prepared to work slowly and be patient. The one I like the look of is here:

a handy little place this :) Yes, that's him, and he has a customer... could answer his emails though! How do I get in touch then??

thanks Bugbear

Wow - there were no responses when I started mine. Then two come along at once!

I would highly recommend Aled's kits. He is a very nice guy and his meticulous instructions and well thought out kits are well worth the money.

I didn't know he was doing infill smoothers...I did the little shoulder and it started me down the slippery slope of making infills in the future.

Whereabouts are you in Sevenoaks...I am over in Wrotham Heath...if you wanted to pop over and see the kit in its constructed form.

Hello Jimi - I'm really close to Wrotham Heath. Also I checked your blog a while ago - and I've seen the planes you have made, that's part of what reminded me to try one . Very nice indeed (and the recent Sorby tenon saw)... just waiting for the invite (bit like the wedding), Douglas

Brilliant natter Jimi - damn, I will have to make an infill now, and I know how many hours that is going to burn. That bench drill is stunning - do it proud as I know you will. Best, D
