Hi everyone, Well after spending 18 months working on the other side of the pond i am back, and it looks like i have got a lot of catching up to do, 1446 registered users wow! And look at all those moderators, have we always had 8?

One thing i want to say publicly is "THANKS DAD" :D. Why? Let me explain. While i have been in the US my dad (Woodythepecker) has ripped my workshop apart and refitted it from top to bottom. I now have a complete piped dust extraction system, reworked strip lighting (10 new tubes), new flooring, fitted cabinets and much much more. Photos will follow shortly.
Thanks also goes to Tim, Felderman, and CHJ, for the advice you gave him while he did the work.

Anyway as much as i really do love the US and its people, its good to be home, and it will be great to get back into my own workshop and use those tools again.

I also look forward to posting some messages again.

Cheers everyone

Mike

And there I was thinking the Colonies had got internet access... Good to have you back, Mike. Your dad's been keeping us sort of up to date with you, so it wasn't like you ever really went. :D

Cheers, Alf

I'll let you have the bill in the morning.

Alf he let me use his laptop and so he didn't have one to take.

As you can see Mike i put it to good use 600+ posts so you have got a lot of catching up to do. Mind you as i am a Mike too i suppose i could have used your membership and ran your posts up.

Regards

Woody

Hi Mike,

I am still here, just a bit slow to respond, been out buying wood! Good to see you back, how about showing us what your Dad has done in the shop?

Hi Dave, i am going to post some pic's as soon as i can. Yes i have actually got a digital camera now, i am not saying that i can use it but i have got around to getting one.

DW yes it is a bit nippy up here, especially when i have just got back from California. But there is one good thing about all the snow, and that is it lets me go back to my childhood and let fly at everyone with some freshly made snow balls.

Cheers

Mike

Glad to see you back Mike and that Mike got the job done for you. Which of you looks more like the Cat that got the Cream or is it a case of one of you got the Mouse that fell in the Cream.

(remember that vision from when a local farming friend arrived with a pail of cream for my mother to use up and promptly relayed the tale of how she had just fed the Cat a Mouse that had drowned in the cream pan last night. Needless to say the pigs had cream for tea.)

As many of you will know when Mike went to the US he left me his laptop and told me about this forum, which is when i became a member.

Everything has been ok, but now that he is back, it appears that because we are using the same laptop, and are both independent members of Ukworkshop it does not like it.
As you can see from above he signed in and left a post, but when he submitted it, my name appeared. Is there anything we can do to correct this?

Thanks in advance.

Woody

OK so I think that you will have to log in and out each time you use the forum. You need to disable the auto login feature and make sure you type the correct username in, or you will end up posting as each other, again!
