perhaps any broken bits are binned but the good wood is used to make new pallets. with that machine its quicker to take the whole pallet apart than repair single slats

The thing I find most depressing about robotic takeover of artisan manual labour is the poor thing can't go out for a pint at the end of the day.

They probably drop the voltage after the day is over so that it can feel like it's drunk.
