My useless ISP (V21) has been taken over by one that sounds even more useless (Biscit)- judging by the comments in various fora.

I am planning to change asap and wonder if people are still happy with Zen which seems to have been the favoured provider for many folk here when this question was last posed.

I'd be grateful for any confirmation of other suggestions.

yes I was with Zen for about 4yrs and not one problem at all. I changed to save money and TBH am happy with the new guys too. EFHBroadband where cheaper and I haven't had any downtime in about 8 months. Nildram are also good, my father was with them for about 3yrs without and hassle.

I'm with Zen, we use them in the day job too. Absolutely faultless service, good support too. I get free broadband with the mobile phone (orange) but am unsure about swapping to it in case it's not up to the mark.

I'm with Zen and I have to say that it has run perfectly from day 1.

I do think its expensive though -£25 pm inc vat. I have the 8000 active set up. It is capped at 20GB a month which I don't exceed but probably would if I watched films etc.

Not sure that 'running perfectly' should be a good enough reason for a high price but maybe thats what distinguishes offerings these days

Cheers

Zen...had two separate accounts with them in two locations...faultless..excellent customer service. Yes...a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Very good on mac support as well.

I'm o Zen and have no complaints, as mentioned above, good customer service and support, I use the Home 8000 and find that ample for my needs, mind you I don't download music or films.

Chris,
I might be a bit late if you've already made the decision but Zen have been brilliant with me.
I've probably said before, real people in the UK with Mac experts as well. I've never had to wait long for the phone to answer and email requests have always been answered promptly.

They recently sorted out by line noise problem and were very patient when I had to go back to them twice for help after doing a factory reset on my router and getting all my network names, router access passwords, ADSL passwords etc mixed up.

I'm on their upto 8Mb service and get between 3-4mb most days from the Hayes exchange.

I've just had Zen installed. Pretty seemless, and they fired it up 4 days earlier than they predicted. As yet, I can't comment on any other aspect but joining up was pretty seamless.
