Hi all....
As the title says... I've got the Sorby Patriot chuck which is great, but i'm thinking about getting something a little smaller (too?) for the smaller stuff i make.
I can already hear you saying get a set of smaller jaws etc. but for some more of my hard earned squids i could get a smaller chuck complete with several sets of jaws (maybe..?).
I was looking at the Charnwood W830P in the S&B catalogue, but it would appear that was a special offer which ran out a long while back.
Then i looked at the Record RP2000 (very similar to the Charnwood me thinks), but that only comes with a strange size fitting i.e. NOT 1" x 8tpi. http://www.stilesandbates.co.uk/CMS/pro ... ck%20Offer
Then flicked on to Axminsters site and saw the small turning chuck set... http://www.axminster.co.uk/product.asp? ... =1&jump=44
Anyone got any ideas of what/which is/isn't a good buy..?
Cheers all.....
Nick
